Baotou City Central Hospital

The Baotou City Central Hospital, formerly known as the Official Baotou Hospital, Suiyuan Provincial Baotou Hospital, Baotou Municipal People's Hospital, and Baotou Second Hospital, was established in 1942 as the first hospital in Baotou's history. It is a comprehensive tertiary Grade A hospital that serves as an affiliated clinical medical school of Inner Mongolia Medical University, Baotou Medical College, and a teaching hospital of Tongji University. It is also designated as a national standardized training base for resident doctors. The hospital has received various accolades and honors, including being recognized as a "National Top 100 Hospital" and an "Advanced Collective in China's Healthcare System."

The hospital is situated on a campus covering 73,000 square meters, with a building area of 137,000 square meters. There are 45 clinical departments, 20 medical technology departments, and 25 administrative support departments within the hospital, including 7 laboratories, 1 community service center, and 3 medical clinics. The hospital is staffed by 2,339 employees, including 998 registered personnel and 1,341 non-registered personnel, with 2,088 members holding professional titles. Among them, there are 235 senior titles, 325 associate senior titles, 12 professors, 2 doctoral supervisors, 59 master's supervisors, and 4 post-doctoral fellows.

The hospital has established 5 academician workstations approved by both the autonomous region and Baotou city, and it serves as a national clinical drug trial institution. The hospital is involved in international emergency rescue center networks, an autonomous region emergency medical rescue center, and is a key member in the formation of the national standardized atrial fibrillation center. The hospital is also associated with Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region's Brain Vascular Disease Research Institute, Translational Medical Engineering Research Center, Neurological Disease Clinical Medical Research Center, and Medical Cloud Imaging Artificial Intelligence Engineering Technology Research Center.

The hospital's main specialties include neurology, intensive care medicine, rehabilitation medicine, medical imaging, anesthesiology, and nursing, to name a few. Additionally, the hospital is known for its focus on clinical research and quality control in various medical disciplines.
